EXTREME WEATHER ARRANGEMENTS
In line with the HKU guidelines for students and staff during bad weather (see here), workshops and discussion groups will be cancelled when the following signals are in force: T8 (or above); or Black Rainstorm; or other “extreme conditions” announced by the Government.
i.e.,
-
If these signals are hoisted / in force at or after 6:00 am - All workshops and discussions commencing before 2:00 pm will be cancelled automatically.
-
If these signals are hoisted / in force at or after 11:00 am - All workshops and discussions commencing at any time from 2:00 pm and before 6:00 pm will be cancelled automatically.
-
If these signals are hoisted / in force at or after 3:00 pm - All workshops and discussions commencing from 6:00 pm onward will be cancelled automatically.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer ‘make-up’ workshops and discussions for any cancellations under these circumstances.
One-to-one consultations will be moved onto ZOOM and take place at the original scheduled time only if these two conditions are met:
1) the tutee inputs a valid ZOOM link on the CSS consultation webpage at least one hour before the scheduled consultation, and
2) the tutor is able to conduct the consultation. Be aware that in some cases (e.g., loss of Internet connection), the tutor may not be able to inform the tutee that they are unable to conduct the consultation.
Absences due to extreme weather will not impact the tutee's attendance record or booking quota.
Unfortunately, no ‘make-up’ consultations will be offered for any consultations missed by the tutor or tutee due to extreme weather.
Please pay attention to announcements from Hong Kong Observatory and emails from the CSS team for details during extreme weather conditions.
